The client is an award winning designer and manufacturer of UHF radio systems. The brief was to liaise with the clients electronics and radio engineers to design a universal wall mounted enclosure for DC powered transmitters and receivers.

The first stage was to meet with the development team and agree the placing of major components for all the existing product variants and those expected in the near furure. The design was future proofed by dedicating a label area as a custom configuration zone for LEDs, displays, keys and switches which could be added to a tool insert in the injection moulding tool or machined into the moulding for small batches.

The design was developed in several stages including sketches, CAD visuals, prototypes and approvals testing. The mould tools were manufactured from CAD data and control drawings.
