The client is an award winning designer and manufacturer of UHF radio systems. The brief was to design a safety Holster for the GEO N8T pager which would enable the pager to be secured in a rigid holster restricting access to some of the buttons and providing a graphics window. The concept of a single pocket moulding with a snap over window was quickly agreed from sketches and the next stage was to reverse engineer the pager back into a 3D CAD model. The design was evaluated using clash detection. The mould tools were manufactured from CAD data and control drawings.
