This is a snap build construction toy based on the famous 'Snake'. The toy consists of cube and wedge shaped pieces which snap together. The snap joint allows the pieces to rotate and dissassemble so that the user is free to build and articulate virtually any shape. The task was to design the parts, build a prototype play set and prepare final component drawings. The parts are designed for straightforward open and shut injection moulding tooling with particular attention to surface finishing and assembly because the parts are moulded in translucent colours.

The prototype bodies were made using vacuum cast polyurethane resin in silicone tooling and the snap joint components were machined from stock material.
