Key Snake is a smaller variant of the popular Snake and is aimed at users who like a fun portable puzzle. The challenge for the user is to make interesting shapes by rotating the wedge shaped parts around their neighbouring wedge.

The task was to design the parts for injection moulding tooling and close attention had to be given to tolerances and fits to ensure a smooth play action. The concept was realised in the smallest number of parts and using straightforward open and shut tooling. Two parts were designed to create each wedge sub assembly and these were then snap fit assembled to their neighbouring wedge. Two other parts were designed to make the keyring end and the 'tail' end. Component designs were issued as CAD data.
