The client was a marketing and design consultancy. The brief was to design a display board for inclusion into a new point of sale unit for the National Lottery. The design was required to have an interchangeable number system and a secure, anti tamper and vandal resistant enclosure. The display had to be manufactured within tight costs and meet guidelines for corporate branding.

The initial task was to prepare a sketchbook of concepts. A preferred concept was quickly defined and this was developed by CAD in 3D. The components and assemblies were finalised and manufacturing drawings for each component and schematics were prepared on CAD. A small prototype batch was manufactured before production and this utilised rapid prototypes to prove the design of a new scrollable number display.
