The client is one of the oldest packaging design agencies in the UK. The brief was to develop the clients concept design for a vacuum formed insert for a contact lens assessment kit to a working prototype and then setup the full scale manufacturing on their behalf. The kit would be used by a practitioner situated in front of the customer. (Hence the L and R the wrong way around as they relate to the customer not the practitioner).
The kit contained nine bottles with sample lenses and tweezers arranged in a ergonomic array with each row slightly tilted. The bottles were retained in place with undercut pegs creating a positive click. The inserts were manufactured in thousands and supplied complete with self adhesive tape pads on their underside and ready to install.
