The client was a key name in the Office Partitioning Industry. The brief was to design a kitchenette unit for inclusion into an office refurbishment programme they were undertaking. The refurbishment was for several floors of an International Bank in the City of London and involved opening up many of the existing rooms into larger spaces. The client wanted to create several 'coffee zones' on each floor which could be closed off to contain mess and untidyness associated with communal facilities.
The units incorporated a fridge, power points and access panels, storage cupboards above and below worktop and a single triple fold door. The unit was designed for constructed using standard joinery techniques and fittings. The main hinges were custom built. The project involved site visits and liaison with the site management team.
