The client is a specialist in pest control. The brief was to design a low cost, mass manufactured, user assembled bird repelling device for mounting onto flat surfaces frequented by seagulls. The resulting design could be nailed, bonded or screwed to surfaces and provided a multi socket cone into which lengths of metal wire could be installed. The component design was issued as CAD data with an accompanying 2D control drawing. Apparently Seagulls have problems with depth perception and cannot easily land on a surface criss crossed with fine lines!!!
