Overhead and Wall Mounted Humidifiers

A & A Ind Equipment asked the Industrial Design Department to prepare concept designs for their new range of Ceiling Mounted and Wall Mounted Room Humidifiers. A & A had developed a patented method for producing a non wetting, atomized water mist using a high speed metal disk. This new method would eliminate water storage within the device and reduce the risk of Legionnaire’s Disease which is associated with humidity control devices.

A & A  Ind Equipment wanted a new house style to celebrate the new range. Two students (one being myself) were chosen to collaborate and prepare concept designs and develop those to manufacturing drawings. We added several innovations including a common, replaceable filter cartridge and a directional outlet nozzle. The enclosure was designed for manufacture using match moulded GRP and both units went into full production for several years.
