The client is famous for their gaming cards which sell around the world. The brief was to develop the concept of a free standing pack with a hinged compartment and ergonomic outer case incorporating a slot hanger. The card game had an established market and the potential manufacturing requirement was very large. The packs were designed for moulding in translucent materials and with snap together hinges with features to limit the opening of the two parts. The concept was verified using clash detection methods and then rapid prototypes. The component designs were issued as CAD data.
