The client is a well known name in the toy industry who had been aproached by an inventor with a concept for a battery powered 'coin tossing game'. The idea was that a vehicle progressed a plastic 'coin' through several obstacles which rotated, slid, knocked and eventually flipped it into the air. The client and inventor had designed the various obstacles and the play board. The brief was to design and prototype a battery operated forklift type vehicle to self progress through the obstacles and park itself ready to start the next run. The design was developed to a full working prototype featuring open and shut injection moulding components which was used as a copy master with accompanying control drawings.
